Comox Valley Tour
The Comox Valley is a tour that earns its own week. Three farmers’ markets across three towns, each with its own neighbourhood stops waiting just steps from the tents.
Saturday belongs to Courtenay. The Comox Valley Farmers’ Market sets up at the Exhibition Grounds on Headquarters Road, and from there it’s a short hop into downtown Courtenay, where Mudsharks Coffee Bar is pouring locally sourced coffee and serving fresh baked goods, and Blue Spruce Ice Cream is scooping small batch flavours dreamed up right here in the Valley.
Sunday takes you to Cumberland. The Cumberland Farmers’ Market fills the Village Square in the heart of this small mountain town, and Cumberland Brewing Company is waiting just down the street with the pints that have put Cumberland on the BC beer map.
Wednesday is for Comox. The afternoon market on the Comox Community Centre field rolls naturally into an evening at RAD Brewing in downtown Comox, where you’ll find celebrated beer, a tapas menu, and ocean and mountain views from the patio.
One check in at any of the three farmers’ markets unlocks every stop on the tour. Come for a Saturday, build a long weekend, or do all three and call it a vacation.

Comox Valley Farmers’ Market – Saturday
4839 Headquarters Rd., Courtenay, V9J 1P2cvfm.caThe Comox Valley Farmers’ Market has been a community institution since a group of local growers organized in 1992 and began selling their produce directly to their friends and neighbours. Over 25 years later, a handful of original vendors are now joined by dozens of new food producers every Saturday throughout the summer at the Comox Valley Exhibition Grounds, before moving indoors to the Native Son’s Hall from October – April.
Vendors at this market provide everything needed to fill a pantry – from farm fresh produce and locally produced food items, to beef, chicken, and turkey and seasonal bison, rabbit, duck, goose, and tuna.
Open Saturdays 9am-1pm
