Surrey / Semiahmoo
Semiahmoo - Meaning "Half-Moon" describing the Semiahmoo Bay. Note this is just one of the many First Nation names for the regions of Surrey.
The Clayton Market is a community-based market that takes place outside the Clayton Community Centre located at 7155 – 187a St., Surrey, BC.
The mission of the market is to bring local makers, bakers + growers together with the community.
Founded in 2017, The Clayton Market has grown into a beloved tradition for many, and is more accessible than ever with new asphalt paths, and gender neutral bathrooms!
The Clayton Community Market would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional and unceded territory of sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Coast Salish peoples, specifically the Kwantlen, Semiahmoo, Tsawwassen, Katzie, Kwantlen, Kwikwetlem, Qayqayt, and numerous Stó:lō Nations First Nations.
