Osoyoos Farmers’ Market On Main
Osoyoos / Sẁiẁs
Sẁiẁs - Pronounced “soo-yoos” and meaning "Narrowing of the waters" in Syilx'tsn
Hosted in Town Hall Park on Main St., the Osoyoos Farmers Market has been operating since 2006 and sees around 30 vendors selling locally grown and locally made produce and products. Held rain or shine and featuring ample parking and live music every week, visitors can expect to engage with the region’s farmers, craftspeople, and artists, as well as local wineries and distilleries. A couple of artisan bakeries also attend, as do many vegetable growers, with a highlight being the area’s Red Russian garlic.
A recently established smaller monthly market is held indoors at Sonora Community Centre through the winter months.
The Osoyoos Farmers Market (Market On Main) acknowledges that it is situated on Sẁiẁs, the Traditional, Ancestral and Unceded Territory of the Osoyoos Indian Band, and Syilx Okanagan Peoples.
This market participates in the BC Farmers' Market Nutrition Coupon Program.
