Situated just off Highway 5 midway between Kamloops and Clearwater, Barriere Farmers Market features ample parking with loads of room for large motorhomes, tour buses, and travel trailers. Next to a motel and campground and Sam’s Pizza restaurant, the market is a stop for both locals and visitors passing through.
The little gazebo onsite sometimes features live music and information booths with the most up-to-date goings on in the rural area can be found too. Popular vendors include the region’s artists, an artisanal baker, and a sausage-maker from 100 Mile House, as well as local honey producers, a butcher, and veggie and corn growers.
The Barriere Summer Farmers Market acknowledges that it operates on the Traditional and Unceded Territories of the Secwepemcul’ecw Peoples.
