Lisa is the business owner behind Kootenay Cannoli who are a vendor at Trail’s IncrEDIBLE Farmers’ Market. Lisa’s passion for fine pastry was sparked from her travels through Europe and her love of the simple pleasure of an afternoon sweet treat and a great cup of coffee. When she returned to Canada, cannoli was the one pastry she really missed and she noticed it was difficult to get her hands on the perfect Italian cannoli – fresh, light, flaky and just the right amount of sweet. Transitioning her job from 30 years’ spent in high demand sales and customer service, Lisa now focuses her creative energy and passion for delicate pastries into Kootenay Cannoli, a thriving business and fixture at her local BC Farmers’ Market. Lisa’s delicious cannolis come in a range of flavours, including nut-based, fruit-based and chocolate-based and she uses fresh ingredients to create tasty recipes including Summer Berry flavour (a combination of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries) and Ambrosia (pineapple, coconut, mini marshmallows, adorned with maraschino and mandarin orange) – yum.
Lisa has grown her business and offers sampler packs of six and DIY kits which include all the ingredients to whip up your own cannolis at home. Products can be bought on Lisa’s online store for local pick-up. Lisa also caters for special events and can provide customized flavours for up to 150 guests.
